I first met Sean when he became head coach of the rugby club which I play for (Poole RFC). At this time I weighed around 158 KG (25 Stones) and was severely unfit. In a very short time and only training with him once a week on the pitch, he showed me the drastic changes I could make to my life if I was willing to work hard.
With this in mind I enquired about personal training with him. For my first PT session in October 2011 Sean asked me what I wanted to achieve and my goal was simple…to lose weight. I was having sessions once a week, but it wasn’t just the great pt which was helping me. I received advice on my diet, and was required to keep a food diary which was extremely helpful in keeping me disciplined and informed. I also had an exercise program to follow so I could do additional training throughout the week.
I started to lose weight straight away and from my regular weigh-ins the results were showing, not only on the scales but in my fitness levels too. Sean is always available for advice when I need it and, I have also found that attending his Boxing circuits class and boot camp sessions has helped me break the monotony of going to the gym. Every session is different and challenging whether it is an hour of personal training or an exercise class.
I am on my way to achieving my goal but I can already say my life has completely changed for the better. To illustrate this I currently weigh 100 KG and, have lost nearly 18, 13 and 10 inches on my waist, hips and chest. Unquestionably I am now the fittest I have ever been with a genuine love for healthy living, on top of this I enjoy playing rugby more than ever and achieved one of my biggest lifetime goals in 2014 when I completed the Bournemouth marathon. I would definitely recommend Sean Burgess Fitness to anybody.
